Consultation with proctologist

The visit to a proctologist requires preliminary preparation.  You need to cleanse the rectum 1.5-2 hours before your visit to a doctor. If the visit is scheduled for the next day, then the procedure is performed twice: before going to bed and 2 hours before the visit. There are no limitations on the nutrition and water intake schedule, you may lead your usual life.  No additional manipulations are required either.

INDIVIDUAL PREPARATION

May I get a regular enema, filled with water, chamomile or other solution? We do not recommend using this method. A large amount of fluid causes the intestinal irritation and, as a result, redundant discharge of mucus that impedes examination. When introducing the regular enema (1-3 liters), the patient experiences unpleasant feelings and even pain in the intestine, while the defecation urge can continue for long time.

PREPARATION IN CLINIC

Many patients cannot prepare for the examination by themselves. If you experience severe pain in the anus, bleeding, or impossibility to get a micro-enema in comfortable conditions (you are at work, on the trip etc), then you may do this simple procedure in our clinic.

For this, you need to arrive to the clinic 10-15 minutes before the appointed time; when you have arrived, notify the clinic’s administrator (or the call center operator, when you are contacted concerning the forthcoming visit) that you need to get prepared for examination. We will perform this manipulation in clinic’s comfortable conditions just before the visit to a doctor.
