The toothache, the knocked-out or damaged teeth, fallen-out fillings and broken crowns is the reason for an urgent visit to a dentist, who will be able to repair damage with minimal consequences for health.

CURING A TOOTHACHE

The toothache is one of the most unpleasant feelings, which the person happens to experience.

The toothache causes many troubles: it keeps us from eating, drinking, smiling, moving the jaw or head. The toothache keeps us from sleeping, totally exhausting the person.

There are many reasons for the toothache, and only the specialist is capable of determining the true problem. In most cases, it is:

  • deep tooth decay;
  • periodontitis;
  • pulpitis;
  • neuritis or neuralgia;
  • toothache as the result of dental manipulations;
  • broken or chipped tooth;
  • abscess.

Before the visit to a dentist, the time-proved arsenal of pain relief remedies is used:

  • rinsing with the warm soda or salt solution;
  • rinsing with propolis;
  • pain relief remedies.

You should never warm your sore tooth with warm compresses, put tablets on it and exceed the recommended dosage of painkillers. Such “treatment” may increase ache and inflammation.

DENTAL CARE IN CASE OF DAMAGING TEETH OR CROWNS

The broken, chipped or knocked-out tooth, fallen-out crown or dental bridgework is the reason for seeking emergency dental care.

If your tooth is knocked out, there is a hope that the knocked-out tooth will be implanted back successfully. The visit to a dentist should be urgent; before that, you need:

  • select a tooth (take only the crown and never touch the root!);
  • stop the bleeding, using the sterile cotton, piece of bandage or napkin;
  • rinse a tooth in the cup of pure water (you should never use the flowing tap water);
  • put a tooth back to the tooth socket, cover with gauze bandage and rush to the dentist.

If you broke, chipped or wobbled a tooth – you also need to urgently visit a dentist.

Before the visit to a doctor, you should rinse a tooth with slightly warm pure water and apply a cold compress. If the tooth is chipped, you should keep them, because you will need them for a tooth restoration. You should not delay the visit to a dentist even in case when the damaged tooth does not ache.

EMERGENCY DENTAL CARE IN "OXFORD MEDICAL"

Even if you managed to relieve pain, you should not delay a visit to a dentist, believing that the problem is sorted out. The rinsing, analgesics and folk remedies may alleviate the pain syndrome, but it cannot cure the tooth decay, pulpitis or any other problem, which caused ache.

The specialists of all dentistry fields, such as dental therapists, orthopedists, periodontists, endodontists, implant surgeons and functional diagnosticians work in Oxford Medical clinic.  Within the walls of Oxford Medical clinic, you may receive a qualified medical assistance in a very short time.  The clinic is at your disposal from 08:00 am to 09:00 pm seven days a week. If the acute toothache, swelling, inflammation or abscess requires urgent dental care and does not let you visit a specialist by appointment, contact the call-center operator and he will do his best that you visit a dentist on the same day without preliminary appointment.

You can contact the call-center operators by phone at (044) 204-40-40 or just filling in the form on our website.
