Facelifting

Surgeries aimed at the correction of age-specific changes are usually called «Facelifting». In most cases this type of operations is used when the matter concerns men and women at the age of 30-60.

By means of plastic surgery it is possible to correct certain patient’s appearance imperfections:

• lifting of the lower face (neck, lips, chin);

• removing of lumps of Bisha;

• lifting of eyebrows;

• eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty). 

Plastic surgery of the lower face makes it possible to remove:

• loose jowls – lowering of soft tissues of the cheeks below the jaw outline;

• double chin;

• wrinkles;

• neck skin laxity.

Due to the endoscopic access this type of surgery doesn’t leave visible scars. The surgeon makes small incisions in the hairy part of the head, behind the ear or in the oral cavity. Through these incisions the plastic surgeon gets access to the areas which require correction. During the surgery skin and soft tissues are being lifted and fixed. Their new position forms a sharp outline of the patient’s neck and face. 

Fat pads or Bisha Lumps are structural parts of the cheeks. Due to certain changes in their weight and form, they deform the outline of the face. In these cases excess fat tissue is removed by the plastic surgeon.

The indications for bishectomy:

• age-specific drooping of fat lumps;

• visible Bisha lumps;

• cheeks fat deposit.

The surgery doesn’t leave scars or any traces of operation, because the doctor gets access to the area needed through the inner side of the cheek (in oral cavity). 

During the eyebrow plastic surgery it is possible to remove the whole complex of age-related changes of the upper face:

• horizontal wrinkles on the forehead;

• nasal bridge wrinkles; 

• lateral angle of eye drooping; 

• eyebrow drooping. 

During the surgery skin laxity of the operated areas, fatigue effect or an angry brow caused by age-related changes are removed. 

We perform the whole range of  face plastic surgeries in our surgical hospital environment. Usually all operations are held under general anesthesia. Not so much by the complexity of the surgery, but mostly by the patient’s comfort (nobody is mentally prepared to any kind of procedures on the face).
