Moderate to severe periodontitis or periodontosis. In this condition, the connective tissue supporting the teeth weakens, and the teeth begin to move. Teeth splinting helps stabilize them and prevent further loss.
- Non-removable splints. These are fixed directly to the teeth using composite materials and remain in the mouth permanently or for a long time. Such structures are almost invisible and do not interfere with chewing or speaking. They are commonly used for periodontitis, post-braces retention, or increased tooth mobility.
- Removable splints. These are special mouthguards or prosthetic devices that the patient can remove independently. They are often used as a temporary solution, especially after injuries or as part of complex treatment. Removable systems are convenient for hygiene but may be less stable than non-removable ones.
